General information

Everything on IslamWorldHQ is published for general education. We check what we can, and we can’t promise it’s complete, current or correct in every case. Every article shows its publication date.

Not a fatwa

Nothing on this site is a fatwa, a legal ruling or personal religious advice. Where the four Sunni schools differ, we report what each says and the sources they use. We don’t choose between them for you. For your own situation, ask a qualified scholar you trust.

Zakat, finance and money

Articles and tools about zakat and Islamic finance are education only. They are not financial, tax or investment advice. We don’t tell you what to buy or sell, and we don’t recommend any bank, fund or app. The zakat calculator works from the numbers you type and the prices you give it. Check the result with a scholar or a qualified adviser, especially for a business, shares, a pension or property.

Dates and moon sighting

Islamic dates on this site, including Ramadan, Eid and Hajj, are expected dates from the Umm al-Qura calendar. The real start of a month depends on moon sighting or calculation in your country, and can differ by a day. Follow your local mosque or national authority. Prayer times in the Ramadan timetables are calculated, with the method named on each page. Your local mosque timetable comes first.

Travel, Umrah and Hajj

Entry rules, visa fees, health requirements and dates change. Always check the official Saudi government sources and your airline or licensed agent before you book. We are not a travel agent and we don’t sell packages.

Topic pages

The pages under Topics collect Quran verses and hadith on a subject. They are not rulings or fatwas. Which texts go on a page is chosen with AI assistance, and the text itself is fetched from a verified copy and checked by the system. A page cannot show every relevant text, and a text shown alone can mislead without its surrounding passage, so please read each one in full context through its link. For your own situation, ask a qualified scholar.

Quran and hadith text

Quran verses are shown from a verified copy of the Arabic text with the Sahih International English translation. Hadith are quoted from Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. A translation is not the Quran itself, and a short quotation is not a full ruling. Read the source in context.

AI-assisted content

Articles are written with AI assistance and reviewed by a human editor. AI can state wrong facts with complete confidence, and human review can’t catch every error. Check anything important against the linked sources and with a scholar. Full detail on the Editorial Policy page.
